Man, being a Chargers fan is an emotional endurance test. My mood swings harder than a horror, movie schizophrenic. One minute I’m pacing the living room yelling, “This is the worst team in football history!” Next drive I’m like, “We’re going to the Super Bowl, baby!” My therapist just calls it “a strong case of the bolts.”
And the announcers don’t help. Carson Wentz throws a pick, inaccurate throws and they’re like, “You have to feel for him, his offensive line just isn’t giving him time.”
Justin Herbert gets hit before the ball even touches his hands and they go, “Well, you know, he’s talented… but I’m not sure he’s top five.”
Top five? The man’s been playing behind a line that looks like it was assembled at Home Depot at 6 a.m. on a Sunday.
Give Herbert a half the protection anyone else gets from commentators and he’d have three rings by now.
