Memorial Day
I missed a week, what a shame, what a shock
Was I in traffic, or a coma, or had I forgot?
Could it have been…. Dare I say… . Writers block?!?
Nay you nit! it was a holiday
That coincided with my born on day
Plus I had my daughter and her friend at play
So the time unfortunately slipped away
Yet I had much fun with the special 10
It was so much fun I wished it not end
But end it did…. And without coach Kyle my friend
Despite the calls and the pleas that we did send
We agreed on a punishment did we not
Something about singing about a teapot
That gets tipped over when it gets hot
I personally like the sound of that plot
