Year one, Herbert had his coming out party and was going to ball out regardless of who the head coach was.
Year 2 and 3, Herbert didn’t go through a sophomore slump and carried the team on his back despite Brandon Staley horrible coaching.
Year 4, Herbert was great! But injuries, OC change, BRANDON FRIGGIN STALEY, and simply just “chargering” following the Jacksonville playoff loss lingered giving Justin technically his worst year thus far.
Year 5, a merry Jimass miracle happened early and the chargers made an amazing hire for HC. But on top of that, harbaugh also listened to Herbert and got his guy to come back, Shane Day.
Shane was there during year 2 and 3 where Herbert played out of this world. Then he got fired, and Herbert and company struggled. Shane went to Houston, and they looked pretty darn good last year. He then leaves Houston and now CJ Stroud is struggling. Shane Day comes back to LA and now Herbert is playing like a “top 10 QB”.
Just a coincidence? I think NOT!
A ton of other factors probably played a role and maybe it is a coincidence but it’s a breath of fresh air having a head coach that listens to his players. Harbaugh could have easily, and for good reason, hired his people to coach up Herbert, but he instead decides to keep his star QB happy and look how Herbert looks now, like a top 10 QB.
Help me out Kevin, Herbert is 80% tough, 15% hair, 2.5% duck, 1%… wait how much is that? AHHH SHIT I lost count.
KLYB. And Merry Jimass!
Top 10 lmao 🤣
