Ekler needs to shut the fuck up. Trying to compare his value to a wide receiver. Running backs are a dime a dozen. Wide receivers not so much. So much of his success is predicated on what the line does FOR HIM. I loved Ekler when he came in and took the job. Now all this boo hoo bullshit about how the position is undervalued just makes me sick. Last time I checked he is making millions. Building his brand, which he talks about so much, well okay if there is a need for a whinner somewhere I think he has it locked up. Guarantee it is bringing bad vibes into the locker room. Never in the history of football has a player even talking about his salary been a positive thing. I really hope they let Kelly have a decent shot in his contract year, start working Spiller in more heavily, let Herbert gun it down field and get off those 50 million check down passes and Ekler winds up 2 yards short of his incentives. Serve him right. Then he can get in line behind Zeke, Dalvin and all the other boys that are currently unemployed. I know he keeps touting how he HAD to do what he did. You know what? He didn't. It was a choice. He is not the good ole Colorado boy that came in and busted his ass to make the team anymore. He is a big headed crybaby and I will not shed any tears when he is gone. His monster year last year was because ALL our receivers were banged up. They had no choice but to feed and feed and feed him the ball. This year there will be a lot of mouths to feed. I hope he goes hungry. So here is my question: Eke is a seasoned vet, Kellen is the new play caller, is it business as usual for Eke this year or do you intentionally start working the offensive game plan around de-emphasising Eke? Look, I am for doing whatever it takes to win, but I don't believe Eke has the value HE thinks he does and I think this will be the year to show it. Next year there are a ton of free agents in the RB ranks. They think they are being devalued now, wait till then.
