Happy 4th of July Weekend, Charger Chat crew and all the Bolt fam out there!
Question:
1). If Rivers were still in his Prime with the team we have now, do you think we'd go deeper in the playoffs and take it all? Or if you switch Rivers with Herbert during 2006-2019 and sit behind Brees for the first two years, do you think we'd have Super Bowl rings?
I ask this because people demand Herbert take control of the offense and be a leader, which keeps him from being elite. "Screw what the coach says, you know the offense, during the game" mentality. With that said Rivers embodies all that. So if we put Rivers with the team today, do we win it all if that’s their take? That’s a question to ponder. I could say it the other way as well. Or could all this have been avoided if we had signed Rivers to a one-year contract, let Herbert learn a year, and Rivers would have already retired a Charger, and Herbert would have been a PG trash talker with three kids already on the way? That may be one of the biggest blunders the Chargers could have ever made. That and firing a 14-2 coach.
Have safe travels and holidays, all of you!
K Luv You Bye.
