(Voice of Mr. Hankey The Christmas Poo)
Howdy Ho Chargers Chat Fam!
I feel special teams is still like that Poo that hangs off the end of your ass and won't fall in the toilet cause it's just clinging to your sphincter, and it wont drop off until you shake your ass around until it finally drops in the toilet.
Neither Dicker nor Hopkins has shown they can consistently kick from 50+. I don't want to be hurt again like Michael Badgley. The guy was money from less than 50, but went 1 of 2 from 50+, one of which was the longest field goal in Chargers history against the Bengals with a 59-yarder in his first season. We all had to then painfully watch his 3 of 9 success from 50+ and being horrible in general at every distance his final season until being cut.
The Chargers should purposely go for field goals on 1st down once they get into 50+ yard range during the pre-season in the second half. Its time these kickers earn their starting jobs instead of watching unproven kickers go out there every year and end up sucking on my salty chocolate balls whenever the pressure is on. Dicker is 1 of 2, and Hopkins is 1 of 3 as a Charger from 50+. What say you, Chargers Chat Fam?
Am I wrong for wanting my kicker to be consistent from that distance? With the high powered offense we're looking at next year, there shouldn't be a need to be kicking that much from that far, but still. You know the noise we'll start getting once these guys start getting more opportunities from that distance.
K Love you bye! (Voice of Mr Hankey Being Flushed down the toilet).
